Wows and Wonders Gallery Walk

Back | Page 1 of 1 | Next: Planning for Collaboration

It is time to celebrate and share your work.

Introduction

A Gallery Walk works just like the name suggests; participants will have the opportunity to view a gallery of works, in this case the lessons you improved with your partner.

Prepare for the Gallery Walk

With your lesson improvement partner, reflect on your improved lesson and complete the artist statement in your Participant Handbook. Include the following in your statement:

  • What you consider to be the greatest strength of your lesson.
  • Where you could use some help making continued improvements.
  • The learning you have gained through this collaborative lesson improvement process.

Take a Gallery Walk

During the Gallery Walk, each viewing team will leave Wows or Wonders sticky notes for each lesson improvement team. Wows are appreciations or insights gained as a result of looking at their lessons. Wonders are those questions you are "wondering." You may also take notes for yourselves as you view each of the lessons.

Debrief

Share insights gained and the value of the collaboration process to improve lessons.
