How to Reset a Password:
- Have the user try answering the "Secret Questions" set up during the account creation process: https://uwnetid.washington.edu/renew/. If that fails, continue to the next step.
- Log into the support website: http://www.learningcommons.org/auth/catalyst/tools/
- Find the person's name in the system. You can either browse (by last name), or search. You can search on the person's first or last name, or by account name.
- Click on "Reset" next the user's UWNetID. You'll then be taken to the DLC ID Manager. Note: you may need to enter your SecurID number again.
- Verify that this is indeed the correct account before continuing.
- Generate a PAC--a Private Access Code. Click on "Generate PAC" to Continue.
- Finalize the reset by clicking the "Reset PAC" button outlined in red.
- Print out the following screen and hand it to the person. The PAC will allow them to enter a new password into the system. Simply have the user follow the step-by-step instructions provided on this screen.
