SIRS Knowledge Source

Get Started: SIRS

SIRS databases link to primary sources, such as newspaper and magazine articles, for K-8 and 9-12. You can also access resources that are aligned to Washington State standards and ranked by Lexile Level.

Students can safely do research and gain a balanced view of controversial issues for papers and debates. SIRS includes tools to help students get started on research and to bring projects to completion. Click on the Resources tab above for quick links to additional tools for teachers and students.
