Boost Student Achievement
"The DLC has had the greatest impact on my teaching practice in the sixteen years I've been teaching."
Tim Renz, Teacher, Foster High SchoolRaise test scores with easy-to-use tools and resources.
Whether we like it or not, testing is here to stay. But it doesn't have to zap the life out of teaching or learning. Online tools give teachers more resources to work with and greater flexibility in teaching. And going online is second nature to today's students.
Assess students' knowledge and set them on a course of study:
- Online diagnostic tools and reports make it easy for teachers to assess student knowledge before and after a curriculum unit.
- ALP WASL Prep (Accelerated Learning Plans) resources and tutorials for math and reading help students target the skills they need to succeed.
- Online assessment tools mean teachers spend less time grading tests and more time teaching.
More ways to teach and learn much-needed skills:
- Library databases, such as netTrekker, SIRS, and Grolier, include lesson plans and resources aligned to Washington State standards.
- Web-based test-prep tools can be used in a computer lab or printed out for classroom use.
- Digital tools make it easier for teachers to give students individualized worksheets that target the skills they need to succeed on tests.
